MexAmerica is located on the United States and Mexican border, it includes cities such as Phoenix, Tuscan, El Paso, and San Antonio. Alongside these big cities are densely populated rural areas in southern Texas. MexAmerica is mainly defined by the culture and ancestry. Many people who live in MexAmerica possess Latino ancestry and this is evident in the culture of MexAmerica. the Rio Grande River is a physical boundary that separates Mexico and Texas, but this river does not act as a cultural boundary. The culture of MexAmerica is very prominent in this region. The second a tourist is in the area they will notice the Spanish and Indian place-names, Spanish and Mexican designed plaza towns, Mexican food, Spanish music, Spanish language, and Roman Catholic Churches. The food is a big uniting factor in this region. It is common to find chili-covered enchiladas or tamales, refried beans, and Spanish rice covered with melted cheese. You'll find these foods all across MexAmerica. MexAmerica has a very strong culture just like Yosemite National Park. You might be asking what kind of culture Yosemite has. Yosemite National Park is defined by an outdoorsman spirit, a desire for adventure, and love of nature. The culture was all started by John Muir. He had a love of the natural wonder and a fierce passion to protect it.
The beauty of Yosemite is shown on gorgeous artwork located in the Ansel Adams Gallery in the heart of Yosemite Valley. The staff includes climbers, hikers, photographers, and people who are in love with Yosemite!
I really recommend watching the video above that explains the Rangers Club in Yosemite, which was built for the rangers of Yosemite. It was one of the first buildings and is significant because it set the tone for the architecture of Yosemite buildings. It explains some of where the culture of Yosemite came from and how the represented this in the building!
Yosemite also has bird watching groups, hiking groups, and many other Yosemite lovers who keep the beauty of Yosemite alive!
There's also many stories about the landforms in Yosemite that keep that add to the Yosemite culture. For example, it was said breathing in the mist of Bridalveil Fall's in Yosemite would improve your chances of marriage!
