Hawaii just like Yosemite, is a very desirable vacation place. Hawaii is a chain of islands and submerged volcanoes, which extends 3600 miles west and north of the "Big Island" of Hawaii to the Aleutian trench off Alaska. There are eight inhabited islands! They are the "Big Island," Kahoolawe, Maui, Lanai, Molokai, Oahu, Kauai, and Niihau. The islands are tops of volcanoes formed from when the Pacific Plate moved over a hotspot. The volcanic origins are revealed though the mountainous terrain. The two largest peaks are Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa, both of which are 13,500 feet. This is even higher than Mount Lyell in Yosemite, which 13,114. The Hawaiian Islands are known for their landforms, similarly to Yosemite. There are dramatic cliffs! The below pictures show the comparison.
Hawaii's climate is warm with rare seasonal extremes in temperature.
What Yosemite National Park and Hawaii have in common, is their incredible and unparalleled beauty. There really isn't anything important to focus on. Hawaii is a subtropical destination that has attracted people for a long time and so is Yosemite National Park. I think the most appropriate thing to leave you with on my blog post is gorgeous pictures of Yosemite that I hope convince you to book a trip ASAP!!!! It's really close and 100% worth it!
